The House of Lords Select Committee on Social Mobility has now published its call for evidence. The Committee, appointed to investigate the transition from school to work for young people, is investigating the complex choices young people are faced with when considering career options. They would like written evidence to inform the Committee’s work and so would particularly welcome your views on this inquiry.
The call for evidence document, found on their website http://www.parliament.uk/business/committees/committees-a-z/lords-select/social-mobility/news-parliament-2015/smc-call-for-evidence/ sets out a number of questions which the Committee would be interested in receiving written submissions on, as well as further information on the scope of the inquiry.
The deadline for receipt of evidence is 14 September 2015; written evidence should be submitted online using the submission form available at http://www.parliament.uk/business/committees/committees-a-z/lords-select/social-mobility/publications/lords-written-submission-form/
This page also provides guidance on submitting evidence.
Further to the call for evidence, they have developed a survey for 14-24 year olds to respond to. If you work with anyone in this age group, please ask them to complete the survey to help inform the work. The survey can be found here: http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/HouseofLordsSocialMobilitySurvey/
