Jason Hodgkiss – Chair of Trustees
Jason has the Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors (IOD), is a Chartered Environmentalist and Scientist. After eighteen years building a career in the environmental consulting sector, he was a Board Member of the third largest environmental consultancy in the UK (employing 700 staff and a turnover of £65M. In November 2012, looking for a new challenge, he became founder /Managing Director of his own Limited company. He has been a member of the IOD since 2006 and Regional Organiser for British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS). He was an operational Firefighter between 2003 and 2012 (as part of the Retained Duty System).
Paul Kay – Co Chair of Trustees
As well as a MSc Management and Auditing, Paul has 20 years of experience in managing and directing strategic change projects and consultancy in strategic planning across a number of private and public sector enterprises. Senior supplier management and account management experience in IT and outsourcing. He is a Company Secretary for small management consultancy business.
Geraldine Hadman – Director/Trustee
Gerie is an experienced Practice Nurse (BSc (Hons) Nursing; Renal & Urological Nursing; RSCN Paediatrics). Gerie was a Board member of both Norwich and Norfolk Primary Care Trust commissioning health and social services across Norfolk and co-chair of the Women and Children’s Board at Norfolk PCT.
Cathal (Cal) Deane – Director/Trustee
Cal is Head of Community Commissioning at West Norfolk CCG. He has a BA in Business & Marketing Studies (Accounting major). He has an ILM5 qualification, is a Risk Facilitator with the Medical and Dental Defense Union of Scotland and via the Improvement Foundation has a Leadership for Quality Improvement qualification.
He has considerable skills and experience in governance i.e. Contract Performance Management; Service Delivery Performance Management; Ensuring Providers adhere to national and local policies, procedures and guidelines; Development of quality schedules and associated reporting. He was the previously the Corporate Governance Lead for a number of GP practices and an Integrated Health and Social Carers Lead for Norfolk. He led the development and implementation of the Norfolk Carers Strategy and the redesign of the Carers Council for Norfolk and the lead for Carers with NHS Norfolk.
Felicity Hartley – Director/Trustee
Felicity had a career in further and Higher Education. She has worked extensively in the voluntary sector after becoming a parent of a son with Down’s Syndrome in 1980 and remained closely involved with his care and welfare although he now lives independently. Represented the Down’s Syndrome Association on Norwich Community Health Council and became a Manager for the Mental Health Act at the old Little Plumstead Hospital. Felicity has considerable governance experience as a Non-Executive Member of Norwich Primary Care Trust and Norfolk Probation Board. Served as an elected member of Norwich City Council from 1998 – 2008 where she held a variety of positions, including being a member of the Executive with responsibility for Culture and Organisational Development and was Lord Mayor from 2006/7. She is a member of Soroptimist International which promotes the welfare and education of women and girls across the world.
Jeremy N. Hooke – Treasurer
Jeremy is an Independent Financial Adviser, Wealth Manager and Philanthropist (DipFA Mifs). He has a large and varied international client base, from individuals and families to businesses and high profile celebrities. Jeremy joined Norwich City Council as a Thorpe Hamlet Liberal Democrat Councillor in May 2006 and was re-elected for a 4-year term in May 2007. He was the Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of the City of Norwich for 2008/2009 and remains the Treasurer of the City of Norwich Civic Association for all past Lord Mayors’ and Sheriffs’ and their consorts. Jeremy is the Chairman, Board of Directors of the Peter Tatchell Foundation in London. Jeremy has worked with many Human Rights organizations including Amnesty International and Stonewall. He is a trustee of the Norwich and Norfolk Racial Equality Council, Friends of Norwich in bloom, Norwich Consolidated Charities and Co-Chair of the Norfolk LGBT History Society.
Emily Millington-Smith MBE - Director/Trustee
Emily has dedicated more than 30 years of service to for services to older people and carers in East Anglia. She is President of Age UK Norfolk, and is chair of the Norfolk Older People’s Forum. Mrs Millington-Smith has also helped found other groups including the Norwich and District Carers Forum and Pabulum, which assists elderly people with dementia.
Maximillian Applin– Director/Trustee
Max is the Managing Creative Director at Ouch Creative Ltd and owner at Applin&Co. He is an award winning freelance Web Developer. He has almost a decade of experience in providing UX / IA / Design led front end solutions to a variety of clients. As well as providing resources for technical development such CMS integration & eCommerce. Max works with a hugely broad range of clients, from small start-up business and individuals, all the way up to household names.
